I love it! A friend's sister made me a quilt when my son was born, and I lay him on it to play for months. The quilt added just that extra little bit of happiness to the whole experience.

I learned to knit when I was 7 or so - my mum taught me the very basics after someone gave me a kids knitting kit for Christmas. dabbled on and off, but only seriously got into it about 4 years ago - the internet is a great resource. Mostly I've learned by just launching myself at complicated projects and figuring it out as I went along!
I never could work out crochet though, until 18 months ago when I watched some youtube videos and it finally clicked - now I can't believe it took me so long!

Great news that the meds are helping. You were brave to go out and hide eggs in that wrethed weather. WE told Abby that the Easter Bunny hid eggs in the house when the weather was bad. She left him a carrot and a leaf of lettuce for his trouble the night before.

Hi there! I read your comment on the Harlot's site. The cool t-shirt says....

K2P2 K2P2 K2P2 all over the front of the t-shirt... Right in the center it says
"Ribbed for her pleasure"

Some of the other comments give a website where the shirt can be ordered... as well as coffee mugs, etc.
Ta ta!
Sorry I didn't know about all your tribulations. My daughter, Kandis has a thyroid condition she takes synthroid for and it runs in my family, my mom and grandma had it. I know how that can play havoc with any attempts at weight loss AND the depression too. Here's to positive steps and a brighter outlook.

Now you got me curious. I saw a dealer of something like this down on South Lamar one day. I found this web site and it lists others, but I cannot believe they're charging that much for these things.
http://www.electric-bikes.com/one-cars.htm

I shop at Wal-mart - I'm not proud of it, but I have limited options in the small town I live in. It would take more gas and more cash to shop elsewhere, and I don't have it. But I don't have to like it. And I will tell you right now, I shop near the North Cross Mall and I will NOT EVER shop the new Wal-mart if they build it. What could it have over the one in my small town? I fear that local residents will use it. The neighborhood is a mix of low income and funky bohemian hold-outs. Some of those reseidnets are definitely going to shop there. Especially since the Albertsons on 183 was closed last year. They just don't have a lot of options, unless they feel like leaving the area.
Thanks for the thoughtful and balanced treatment of the contraversy.

Congrats on deciding to start a garden. I love it myself, but I was always the outdoors type. I also like it hot, so no complaints about working in the hot sun. I am making my garden bigger this year, but like almost every year, I am late getting started. I made a habit for years of listening to Jon Dromgoole's radio show on KLBJ every weekend till I internalized his wisdom of organic growing in the hill country. Good luck!
